The Proposal
The Proposal
Dinner for two with candle light and sunset

She Said Yes!

I had been planning it for months. About five weeks before our vacation to Santa Rosa Beach in Florida I called the Beach Walk Cafe in Destin to plan a night she would never forget. I had the restaurant cover most of the details and everything was good to go, except for the one major detail... I had to get Aimee to the restaurant without her being suspicious.

It was the second day of our vacation with Aimee's family and I asked her if I could take her to a nice dinner, since we had not been on a date in a while. She wasn't really wanting to go that particular night because she had already "planned" a dinner with her parents. As most of us know, Aimee has a set schedule and this would have broken her routine. After some help from her parents, I convinced her to go to dinner.

When we arrived at the secret location, the host escorted us to our "Toes in the Sand" exclusive table, right at the edge of the water. Our private dinner which was lit by tiki torches and the sunset was all too romantic. She started to get suspicious, but I was able to convince her that I was just trying to do something nice and it was merely a romantic date.

I waited till the time was right, then I got down on one knee and proposed just as the sun went down. She Said Yes! Well kinda, she cried tears of joy and kept asking if this was all really happening. We then ordered drinks to celebrate. Aimee was so excited that she couldn't even finish her dinner.

Her parents and sister then joined us out on the sand to celebrate.

This was the best night of my life!
